Abstract

An issue addressing gaming during pandemic times is especially relevant for Kinephanos to
get back to a standard publication rhythm. The covid-19 pandemic has of course delayed a lot
of research and loaded our administrative and teaching workflow while still giving us an
overload of personal mental charge.

Author Biography

  • Simon Dor, Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue

    Simon Dor is associate professor in game and media studies at Université du Québec en
    Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT). He teaches game design and game studies in the video game
    development program in Montreal. His current research focuses on the depiction of power in
    strategy and management games. His first book, StarCraft: Legacy of the Real-Time Strategy
    (University of Michigan Press), is coming out in 2024. He became editor in chief of
    Kinephanos in 2023.
